Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges will star in a sequel to the nearly decade-old underrated film.
In the 2013 release RIPD , Reynolds and Bridges played two police detectives tasked with hunting down capricious ghosts in the afterlife .
The film, whose title is an acronym for "Rest In Peace Department", was considered a poor box office when it was first released.
Reviews were generally poor, withRIPD scoring just 12 percent on review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.
Viewers also criticized the film on social media, calling it 'horrible' and 'terrible'.
A sequel is currently reportedly in the works. However, there is a problem. Reynolds and his first co-star will not be returning.
