Air United star David Bangarra arrives in Scotland to end visa nightmare

David Bangarra finally finished two months of visa hell today and declared he was "ready to get to work".

The midfielder greenlit a move to Scotland this afternoon, putting an end to this summer's signing saga.

And after spending weeks in France waiting for a new teammate to join, Bangarra admitted he's itching to start something.

Shortly after landing at Glasgow airport,Ayrshire to his post he said: He agreed to this and worked hard to get the visa and paperwork in order.

"It was hard watching the team every week.

"They are my teammates and I want to help them."

The former FK Pawlonie ace is trapped on the other side of the French Sea, with Ayre trying to navigate immigration bureaucracy over the summer. Bangara has achieved cult status among fans. Even his own teammates before stepping onto the pitch to kick the ball.

He smiled.

"They made me feel so welcome with their text his message. I already feel a part of things.

"I am here to work hard and prove who I am. I have worked in France to stay healthy.

"I'm in good shape and now I can't wait to work with the ball, coach and teammates and I'm ready to start."

Bangarra will be traveling with the team leaving for Cove tomorrow to meet his new teammates on the long trip north.

United managing director Graeme Massey said: "It's been a long and frustrating process this summer, but I'm delighted that David is finally with us.

"He will bring something different. He is already proving to be a very popular figure among players and supporters.

"Thanks to local politicians for helping advance our case to the higher levels of government to boost David's arrival today."
