Blood splattered outside Glasgow bar after rammy 'involving two men and women'

An alleged late night street ‘rammy’ left a pavement covered in blood after police were called to the scene outside a Glasgow bar.

Officers raced to Bell Street shortly after midnight on Friday, December 9, following reports of a ‘disturbance’ in the area.

A picture shared with the Daily Record shows a puddle of blood on the street with discarded towels and kitchen roll littering the pavement.

A cordon was put in place while officers carried out enquiries into the circumstances of the incident.

Two men, aged 60 and 49, were arrested and charged in connection. They have been released and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

Two women, aged 36 and 36, have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “We were called around 0.10am on Friday, 9 December, to a report of a disturbance in Bell Street, Glasgow.

“Two men, one aged 60 and one aged 49, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident and released on an undertaking. Two women, one aged 35 and one aged 36, have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.”
