A man, believed to be British, has been critically injured after plunging from the third floor of a car park at Ibiza Airport.

The tourist, understood to be 23, has suffered multiple injuries.

The incident happened just after 3am this morning.

He has been admitted to an intensive care unit at a hospital on the island - Nuestra Señora del Rosario Clinic.

Well-placed sources said they believed he was British, although it had not been confirmed “100 per cent.”

The incident is being investigated by the Civil Guard force on the island.

There has been no official comment on the possible cause at this early stage although police are understood to be speaking to witnesses about whether it was an attempted suicide or not.
