A British tourist has drowned while on holiday in Crete, the third tragic death at the resort in days.
The woman, understood to be from Wales, was found unconscious on Wednesday afternoon, reports claim.
Her lifeless body was found washed up on the beach of Almyrida, Chania, yesterday to the shock of locals.
Rescuers attempted CPR for more than an half but the holidaymaker could not be saved.
It is the latest death on the coast following authorities' controversial decision to to remove lifeguards from the beach.
