Gemma Winter faces a baby bombshell on Coronation Street next week, as she learns she’s pregnant with boyfriend Chesney Brown’s baby.
She’s left worried her romance with Chesney is over, after finding some text messages between him and pal Tyrone.
Fearing she’s ruining his life, she opens up to pal Rita Sullivan, but it isn’t long before she makes a huge discovery.
Amid drama with Chesney, Gemma continues to feel unwell, while Chesney assumes her sickness is down to being hungover.
It’s Rita who steps in though, and questions her friend’s sudden bout of illness.
Wondering if there could be more to it, she tells Gemma she should take a pregnancy test.
On doing so, Gemma is gobsmacked to see that it’s positive and that she’s pregnant.
Rita encourages Gemma to tell Chesney amid their continuing relationship issues, but it’s not yet confirmed whether she will share the news.
If she does confide in Chesney, how will he react?
Trouble remains ahead though, as Gemma decides to move out of the house and packs her things with the help of brother Paul.
But as she’s leaving, Chesney is left worried when she suddenly feels faint and he encourages her to go to the medical centre.
It’s there that Gemma confides in a doctor, revealing the baby was unplanned and that she’s terrified about her situation.
Gemma then learns that she is nine to 10 weeks pregnant, and she decides to keep the baby leaving Rita thrilled, but will Chesney be told the truth?
