Australian singer Delta Goodrem, who played Dame Olivia Newton-John in the 2018 biographical mini-series, said the actress sent her a "beautiful I remembered the letter' following her own cancer diagnosis.
Ms Goodrem met her star of Grease in a chance encounter inNew Yorkwhen she was seven years old. That was years before her own singing career was a success and she landed her role in Neighbors.
Speaking to Australian breakfast show Sunrise, the 37-year-old actress said it was important for people around the world to come together and "continue to celebrate this beautiful woman who has touched us all our lives." Told.
"Suddenly I remember Sandy fromGreece walking in the door wearing glittery glasses. There you are, Mom, Sandy, Sandy, Sandy.
"Olivia heard my Australian accent and came up to our table and said, 'Oh, you're Australian.' so you're not from here?''
"She said, 'I hope to see you tomorrow,' so the next day I went looking for Olivia Newton-John. I looked all over New York.”
The two reunited when Mr. Goodrem was 14, and when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2003 at age 18, Dame Olivia contacted him. I took

"That's... what she did for so many. She continues to tap into this pillar of strength, her relentless positivity and hope, and that's what people feel from her."
The pair continued to work together on charitable events, and Goodrem said Mrs. Olivia always made time to say "yes" to her requests. 41}

Regarding the impact the letter had on her, the Neighbors star added: About what you may possibly experience.
"I think you know she will be there for people, especially in Australia and around the world. She will continue to be there through music and life."
As well as a biographical miniseries, Ms. Goodrem released a cover soundtrack album, Honesty in Love, in May 2018.
