Exclusive

FUELISH TO MISS IT

I am traveling 50 miles round trip to A remote petrol station selling the cheapest fuel in the UK – 158 pence per liter.

There are long queues every day as drivers line up to overcome thecost-of-livingcrisis.

The Dale Head Community Garage in Hawes, North York, operates as a not-for-profit community enterprise, which allows us to keep our prices very low.

You also get a government rebate of 5p per liter because of the remote location.

Petrol costs £1.80 nationally, diesel £1.68 compared to £1.90.

Abby Rose, general manager of Upper Dales Community Partnerships, which operates the garage, said:

"Everyone has gotten so used to paying ridiculous prices that people often rush here from miles away.

``The more you sell, the cheaper you can sell them.''

Yesterday, a motorist said he would be happy to stand in line if it would save him a lot of money on filling up his tank.

Andrew Jackson, 34, said:

"That's the story of the Dale family."

His 72-year-old Harry Wallace from Manchester vacations with his wife and his daughter when he's full. I was out to

he said. I wish he lived a little closer.
