An MRI scan in February showed her glia, a progressive brain tumor the size of a "fist." A blastoma was found. The mother of two then underwent major surgery and had only a 25% chance of survival.

She managed to survive and had most of the growth removed after a surgeon stopped the bleeding in her brain,Chronicle Live reported. But then she received a £55,000 bill from her health insurance company, AXA Partners.

Lisa said last week. I'm her 44 and her life changed in 3 weeks. At first, I thought, "This is a little bit of her OTT." Why should I go to another hospital?

She added: "My family knew about this while in Turkey, but were told not to disclose it as it might cause me further distress."
