EastEnders’ Max Branning in huge boat brawl with brother Jack over Lauren bombshell

EASTENDERS' Max Branning will be involved in a huge boat brawl with his brother Jack over a bombshell about his daughter Lauren.

The BBC One soap's explosive 35th anniversary episodes will hit our screens next week, with it being confirmed that there will be a major character death.

Most of Albert Square will be joining Mick and Linda Carter for a boat party on the River Thames after the Queen Vic won the Best Pub in London competition.

However, it will be hit by tragedy when the boat begins to sink - and there will be plenty of other drama to keep fans entertained.

Before the disaster strikes, the Branning brothers will lock horns when Max [Jake Wood] finds out that Jack [Scott Maslen] has been supporting Max's daughter Lauren through another split with Peter Beale.

Peter is set to return to Walford next week after his younger brother Bobby is targeted in an Islamophobic attack.

Max had thought that Lauren and Peter had reunited in New Zealand with their son Louis, and is baffled when it is revealed that they are no longer together.

He is then angered when he discovers that Jack knew all about the split, with the copper telling all after girlfriend Denise encourages him to come clean.

Max is left furious with his brother for keeping him in the dark, and the situation soon turns nasty.

As the altercation escalates, Jack punches Max - will the boat sinking force the pair to put their differences aside?

Or will one of the Branning brothers be the victim of the tragedy, leaving the other to live with their guilt forever?

Other characters that could be at risk of meeting a grisly end include Leo King, Martin Fowler, and Callum Highway.
