Ed Sheeran turns his town into massive festival with enormous stage to entertain 160,000 fans

SHEER HE COMES

ED Sheeran has put up a vast stage in his home town as he prepares to end his record-breaking world tour behind a row of houses in Ipswich.

The 28-year-old singer will play the final four nights of the Divide spectacular in front of 160,000 fans in Chantray Park.

That means some residents will not only have Ed's music blasted into their homes - but they'll be able to watch the shows from their living rooms.

Pictures indicate that only a thin line of trees will separate the recently-constructed stage from their homes.

Ed's Divide is the most-attended tour of all time - as well as the highest-grossing - having been seen by more than 8.5 million fans.

Having visited 43 countries, it will bow out in Suffolk, where Ed grew up in Framlingham, a short drive from the stage he will perform on.

Yesterday, fans queued around the block at an official Ed Sheeran pop-up shop that opened in Ipswich, hoping to be among the first to get their hands on exclusive merchandise.

The shop is hosting lines from both Sheeran and Hoax, the local clothing company which often works with the singer.

The Sun revealed this week that Ed once failed a songwriting course - and a teacher urged him to improve at working with other musicians.

But Ed was also described as a “natural performer” age 12 and a certificate from his high school prom dubbed him “most likely to be famous”.

The artifacts are part of Ed Sheeran: Made In Suffolk — the brainchild of the singer’s dad John who donated hundreds of items.

It also features the first lyrics he wrote and a childhood self-portrait as well as items from his successful career.

Ed Sheeran reveals he’s cut off most of his pals and only trusts FOUR people in the world due to crippling anxiety
