Erik ten Hag is facing questions over his Manchester United future after #TenHagOut was trending on social media following their 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils were beaten for the fourth time in seven Premier League matches as Palace ran out narrow winners at Old Trafford thanks to Joachim Andersen's first-half strike. It was a drab performance from United, who were booed off by the home supporters after failing to break down a stubborn Palace side.
Fans online also made their feelings known as #TenHagOut trended on Twitter for a brief period after the full-time whistle. United sit 10th in the table and have now picked up just nine points from a possible 21 this season, having secured wins over Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Burnley.
United are through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, but did suffer a 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in their first Champions League match of the campaign last month. They are back in European action on Tuesday night against Galatasaray as Ten Hag's men bid to return to winning ways.
But it's their Premier League form that is concerning at the moment - with four losses from seven United's worst start for 34 years. And some supporters have lost patience with Ten Hag. One tweeted: "Y'all Manchester United fans should stop backing this Ten Hag dude before it’s late. The more you back him, the more you delay our team’s rise to its greatness again! #TenHagOut."
Another said: "ETH and his coaching staff are not doing there job! Steve McLaren still at the club! These are the people we need rid off and yet he's there ! He's not best in class! ETH fault for who he brings in. Players clearly are not listening to him either! Enough. #mufc #TenHagOut." A third claimed: "We've lost 4 games already. How do you see this getting better. Its fans like you accepting this nonsense."
There were some United fans that backed Ten Hag on Twitter though and shaped the blame on the Glazers instead. The Dutchman spoke after his side's defeat against Palace and explained what went wrong. "It's actually quite simple," he said. "We concede only three chances over the course of the whole game, three from set-plays.

"Their goal, first of all, the free-kick. You have to be more controlled, it's not necessary to make a foul there. Then the ball is coming into the box and it's not good defending. We had poor decisions in the final third. We came so often in good positions, behind or in front of their backline, we had three players there in that moment.
"We didn't have an impact to get to their goal and so whatever, the extra pass, final pass or a shot. The quality was just not good enough in that part of the game. In the final part of the game, we didn't play our best game."
