The first wave of FIFA 23 closed beta code has been released by EA Sports, giving players early access to the game before full release.
Every year EA gives a handful of players the chance to play new games before their official release, andFIFA 23 his Sunday in September will be officially released worldwide on 30th October 2022. The closed beta allowed EA to work out the game's final creases ahead of next month's worldwide release, and the first batch of closed beta code was sent out this week.
FIFA 23's closed beta code is all different, and players seem to have access to certain game modes rather than all of them. Some codes don't allow access to FIFA Ultimate Team, some codes don't allow access to Pro Clubs.

First wave of closed beta code coming to EA on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 Sent from Players can now preload a smaller, work-in-progress version of the game with the FIFA 23 Closed Beta. The official start date is 11 August 2022 at 18:00 BST / 10:00 AM PDT.
But if you haven't received the closed beta code yet, don't worry too much. EA tends to release code in stages, so it's still possible to receive an invite.
To maximize your chances of getting a code to access the closed beta, there are a few steps you should follow. The first and most important step is to agree to contact EA Sports via email. Otherwise, EA Sports will not be able to send you the code.
If you have not yet given consent or are unsure whether you have, you can find this option in the Email Preferences tab of your EA Account Settings onEA.com. I can do it. Check the box to allow EA to receive emails about products, news, events and promotions.
In that tab you will see the Preferred Games section. Select your FIFA title, make sure you've selected your preferred platform at the bottom, then click Update. You'll also need to make sure your Xbox Live or PSN account is linked to your EA Sports account. This can be found in the Connections tab of your EA Account Settings.
However, even after completing all of these steps, there is a requirement that only certain people can receive the invitation. The requirements are:
- Players must be 18+
- Xbox/PS accounts must be in the UK or North America
- Working Internet connection
- Active subscription to Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus required
Closed beta available in English only. This means that only UK and North American players can receive invites. Only invited players have early access to FIFA 23 and codes cannot be shared. So if you are offered beta code for a fee, be aware that it is a scam.
