The World Cup winner talked about the possibility of leaving Old Trafford for a new challenge. Real Madrid and Juventus are both reported to be interested in the Frenchman this summer, who cost United £89 million in August 2016.
However, United's stance remains the same: Pogba will still be a Manchester United player next season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to build his team around the Frenchman.
But who did United bring in to replace the midfielder? These are the results...
Manchester United 2019/20 transfers

Marco Benassi (Fiorentina) - £14.75 million rising to £18.25 million

Transfers out: £90 million
Paul Pogba (Real Madrid) - £90 million
Manchester United's 2019/20 lineup
Manchester United didn't just sign one replacement midfielder, they signed four with the money they received for Pogba.
Nabil Fekir, Marcos Llorente, Marco Benassi and Adrien Rabiot were all signed in one summer, with three of them starting the first game of the season, with Fekir on the right hand side and Rabiot on the bench.
Benassi and Llorente played with Fred in midfield, with the rest of the team looking familiar.
According to Football Manager 2019, the sale of Pogba allowed United to bring in four players to supplement the squad overall, but interestingly, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn't want to bring in another attacker, having already signed Daniel James.
It looks like United might be in for a busy summer....
