A TINY room being rented out for £450 a month with a camp bed that hides a grim secret has spared fury online.
Listed as a four-bedroom apartment, the hot piece of real estate is fitted with windows that allow renters to peer each into each other's private spaces.
But look a little closer and you'll notice the rental is in fact a disused office block shabbily converted into several mini rooms.
The hideous hide-out is up for rent in Marrickville in inner Sydney, Australia, for a whopping £1900 a month. But you can score a room for $450 a month.
The property was listed on the rental site Commercial Real Estate, which described the find as a set of offices.
It called the property a "prime office in the heart of Marrickville" and that it "suits a wide range of uses" that comes with "4 bedrooms unit including Electricity, Internet and Water bill," according to news.com.au.
The property features several camp beds and fans, two bathrooms with a shower and a "full kitchen".
The so-called home is being offered for lease through Sincere Real Estate Australia.
The ad online read: "Secure your businesses place in the heart of this thriving industrial precinct.
"Marrickville‘s industrial streets now contain a selection of popular Micro Breweries, Coffee Roasters, Artisan Food Providers, Music & Theatre Venues.
"The location is central to transport, entertainment, universities and Sydney CBD."
The property offers you the chance to "live in the same building or site as your business".
Under Aussie commercial property rules, office blocks are allowed to house residential tenants, if zoning and housing laws allow.
It comes as Sydneysiders face skyrocketing prices for a place to live as vacancy rates drop.
The latest figures show that rental prices rose by an average 10 per cent year-on-year in the September quarter for Sydney.
Meanwhile, a mum-of-five has shared how her family has been forced to live in a tent to make ends meet.
Patricia Thompson has explained how her family of seven has been camping in caravan parks for weeks amid Australia's housing crisis.
While waiting for a long-term solution, the mum alongside her partner and five children - including two toddlers - lived in a cramped tent on NSW coast.
Patricia told 7News the family applied for several rental homes but to no avail.
She said: “I’ve lost count of the amount of applications we put in, it’s just ridiculously crazy.
"We stayed in Mum’s backyard for a bit, but in the end her real estate didn’t want a big family staying there so we had to move on.
“We were lucky enough to find a cheap tent off Facebook marketplace we could use during that time.
“But, it ended up falling apart towards the end, with rips and holes in it. They’re just not made to stay in for long periods of time.”
