Dame Olivia Newton-John has died at the age of 73, her widow has confirmed.
The British-born singer died "peacefully" Monday morning on her ranch in Southern California,surrounded by her family and friends.
Dame Olivia is best known for her lead role in her 1978 film Grease. In this film, she starred as Sandy opposite John She Travolta.
Her performance was nominated for multiple awards, including two Golden Her Globe Awards, and various other film awards.
She was starred on the Hollywood Walk of Fame nearly 41 years before her death on August 5, 1981.

The soundtrack to Grease is one of the best-selling albums in recorded music, and Dame Olivia. and Travolta, featuring two hit duets, Summer Nights and You're The One That I Want.
The latter also ranks among the best-selling singles of all time.

Dame Olivia represented Great Britain in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Long Live Love.

In a statement posted on Instagram, her husband John Easterling wrote:
