Harry Styles has delighted millions of Directioners everywhere by stripping off for the cover of Rolling Stone.

The Signs of The Times singer, 25, poses topless on the front of the US magazine as he gives an eye opening interview.

His intimate chat will cover "sex, psychedelics and the secrets of stardom", according to the mag's tagline.

In the cover shot he flashes his large collection of chest and arm tattoos as he pulls a cheeky grin for the camera.

The interview, which is for the September issue, will be the second time the One Direction star has been the magazine's cover star.

He previously appeared in the 2017 issue looking worlds away from his new edgier image.

Harry was still sporting his trademark floppy locks and his clean cut boyband look in the snap, which was taken when he was 23-years-old.

The new interview will hopefully shed some light on Harry's acting plans as there have been constant rumours he's landed a big film role,

Last week it was reported that he had turned down the chance to play the role of Prince Eric in a remake of The Little Mermaid.

He was said to have been in talks with Disney over appearing in their live-action reimagining of the classic film.

However, a source close to the star confirmed that he has decided against taking the role.

Harry has been looking to build on his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning war film Dunkirk in 2017 but has reportedly failed to land a prominent role elsewhere.

He auditioned for the role of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming biopic of the singer but US actor Austin Butler got the part instead.

Disney has already announced singer Halle Bailey has been cast as Ariel in the film, which is set to be directed by Rob Marshall and is scheduled to go into production in early 2020.
