Hibs defeat is just a bump in the road, Accies Women boss says

Gary Doctor's goal is to significantly improve his 3 point win against Glasgow Women over the weekend, so Sunday's loss to Hibernian will help Hamilton Accesses win the SWPL1. I hope the road is just bumps.

Doctor defending youngest team I'll take his reins and admit there were some lessons for his team to get on board, but I'm sure they'll lead it the right way when we visit the bottom of the division on Sunday.

Glasgow Women have so far lost 14-0 to Rangers and 4-0 to Dundee United.

The Doctor is looking for his second victory in his two matches, but knows his rivals see the opportunity as well.

He said:

"Hibs are starting to move towards professional matches in earnest and are attracting players from all over the world.

"The quality was a little different on Sunday, but this They're trying to freshen up their squad by debuting some players who haven't played at this level before (Image: SNS group)

We played in the Premier League and it was a good experience, a win on day one took some of the pressure off and we were on the right track.

"Hopefully the Hibs will be seen as an obstacle and a lesson learned from in the Glasgow game. Glasgow is also a team that targets us.

"But it's definitely in a winnable category and we're in a good place. There's a lot coming from us on Sunday." I don't think we've stolen it and we're going into the game with a good chance of getting our second win of the season."

Last season Accies scored just 13 points, but the Doctor is aiming high this season. and is confident of pushing the table up even though the revamped SWPL adds two sides.

He added: Given the resource differences, the top half of the table stretches considerably.

"Rather than looking at the final standings, we're asking if we can go head-to-head with our rivals and aim to improve our points total for the month. Our position is handled naturally.

"Our team has room for improvement and we have already seen it in terms of Sunday's match against Hibs, despite the scoreline.
