Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has just gone into the jungle for the new series of I'm A Celebrity but one person who probably won't be cheering her on is former bandmate Cheryl.

In fact, if past rivalries are anything to go by, the Geordie singer is more likely to be ringing up for Nadine to do all the Bushtucker Trials.

Both Cheryl and Nadine were just teenagers when they won a place in Girls Aloud after taking part in Popstars: The Rivals 2002, soaring straight to the Christmas number 1 spot with debut single Sound of The Underground.

Other huge hits like Love Machine, Jump, Call The Shot and The Promise swiftly followed before the girls decided to call it a day after their 2009 tour.

They came back with greatest hits album and tour Ten in 2012/3, before announcing they were calling time on the band again.

In a tweet about the split, Nadine told fans: "You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn't stop them. I had the best time and want to keep going."

According to Irish singer Nadine, Cheryl and fellow Girls Aloud stars Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, from Runcorn, and Sarah Harding made the decision behind her back and only informed her via their management moments before the final performance of their Ten: The Hits Tour, the Mirror reports.

But Cheryl wasn't having any of it, and in an interview with Attitude magazine, she blasted "She's full of sh**. What d'you want us to say? She's full of s***. She was the one who wanted to make a solo record. Which is why we took the hiatus [in 2009].

"She wants to come out and say we broke the band up? No! She shouldn't tell porkie pies. She should remember why we took the hiatus after seven years so she could go and..."

The Newcastle lass, whose had huge solo hits of her own including Fight For This Love and Call My Name, added "She added: "OK, so do you want us to tell the truth? She wasn't going to make another Girls Aloud record until she got a solo deal. I feel she held us to ransom and then made her solo record deal.

"It's the truth. She's saying that we broke the band up. So there you go."

And in perhaps the most telling of snubs in the modern era, Cheryl also unfollowed Nadine on social media. We predict a hefty phone bill from Chez Cheryl after I'm A Celebrity!
