Huge cash boost awarded to Bothwell Futures team

The team at Bothwell Futures has raised a significant amount of funding for a new multi-functional community hub at the former Bothwell Library.

Blantyre Asda Community Champion Mary Sutherland presented the future team with her Spaces and Places grant of £22,500 from the Asda Foundation. residents and visitors.

Bothwell Futures has outlined big plans for Bothwell Library after completing the transfer of the building's community property this summer.

The group officially took ownership of the facility last month and plans to complete the project by November, with repairs and renovations to the site.

These works will include roof and window repairs, and better access for the disabled will also be installed. , new stairs and modern toilets will also be built.

The move promises to pave the way for a future for the residents ofBothwell and provide a free social space for the younger generation.
