It would be fair to share he wasn't too popular with viewers, so many people were left baffled and questioning the power of editing on Wednesday night's I'm A Celebrity when campmates were left in tears by James Haskell's exit.
James was given the boot by the public after landing in the bottom two with Ian Wright and, while some fans of the show couldn't wait to express their joy at the rugby player leaving the jungle, it was a very different story in camp when some of his co-stars cried at his departure.
Jacqueline Jossa described him as like a brother, while Caitlyn Jenner hit out and Ant & Dec for the result and Roman Kemp sobbed into his hands.
And their reactions left I'm A Celebrity viewers at home confused, with some saying editing played a bit part in the public perception of James.
One tweeted “JAMES LEAVING HAS LITERALLY RIPPED THE HEART OUT OF THE CAMP”...not my words but words from the sobbing campmates who actually saw him & lived with @jameshaskell 24/7...not the edited version y’all jumped to conclusions from."
Echoing those sentiments, another posted "To be fair, we as the viewers only see what they want us to see, so James could have been a very good guy, and we only saw maybe 3 percent of his personality," and another commented " I think James was a victim of some bad editing. I mean the people who were with him 24/7 are clearly better placed to actually decide if he was a good guy or the bully the public jumped to conclusion & perceived him to be."
And finally, one ranted "The reaction of the other Celebs just proves James Haskell got an unfair edit, they focused on the minor arguments, and not the friend, leader and motivator who meant so much to the rest of them. Think he would still be in if they did."
