Jake Paul breaks silence after being sued by Eddie Hearn for $100million

Jake Paul has boasted about being undefeated in lawsuits after promoter Eddie Hearn sued him for $100million in a defamation case.

Paul accused the Matchroom Boxing boss of paying a judge to score bouts in Hearn's fighters' favour earlier this year. Hearn denied the allegations and subsequently filed a lawsuit against the YouTube star, claiming he "made outrageously false and baseless" claims.

'The Problem Child' has now stated he doesn't care about the case and is solely focused on his upcoming fight against Anderson Silva on October 29. “I’m not even focused on it, I have this fight coming up October 29 and my lawyers are dealing with that so I haven’t even put any thought into it," he told MMAJunkie. "I don’t care as I get sued all the time for stupid s***, I’m 5-0 in lawsuits and 5-0 in the ring. I’ve got all the time and money in the world so I’m just focused on October 29."

Hearn hinted at taking legal action before revealing her had lodged a lawsuit. "We're not a fan of court cases; we gave him the opportunity to apologise and he didn't want to do it," he told iFL TV. "We've filed a case and he will have to defend it.

"We take this very seriously; he's accused us of corruption, of committing a crime and of paying a judge. It's the most moronic statement anyone can ever make and it's massively defamatory to our business. It affects us in a significant manner and it will be rectified and it will be dealt with.

"We'll play it out and our legal team is in place to deal with it. He's naive, and stubborn and sometimes he doesn't think. This is our life, this is out business and the sport we love. This is a business we have built over 40 years; we dont let people like Jake Paul come out and make comments like that without dealing with it and this is the way we've decided to deal with it."

Paul and Hearn were on good terms when they co-promoted Taylor and Serrano's undisputed clash together, but their relationship turned sour when Paul became offended by comments the Matchroom boss made about him being an "average boxer". The YouTuber will face the toughest test of his career when he takes on UFC legend Silva in Arizona later this month.
