John Beasley death updates — Evermore actor dies aged 79 just months before making his Broadway debut

EVERMORE ACTOR John Beasley has died aged 79 in a hospital, his son has confirmed.

The film and TV star - whose cause of death has not been confirmed - was known for his role in the early-to-mid 2000s series Everwood.

His son Mike W. Beasley released an emotional tribute on Facebook syaing: "Man…you know this is a part of life…but that doesn’t make it any easier. I lost my best friend today.

"They say you shouldn't ever meet your heroes because they don't turn out to be who you thought they were.

"That is so wrong. My hero was my father. Thank you for everything. I hope I made you proud. Love you more."
