Hull City midfielder Kevin Stewart has posted a positive injury update on Instagram as he continues his recovery from injury.

Stewart broke a bone in his foot in November and has not featured for the Tigers since.

However, this morning, he took to social media to show that he is no longer in a protective boot, with the injury to his right foot ruling him out of City's last 10 matches in all competitions.

In the light-hearted video, Stewart throws the boot into a bin at the training ground.

Head coach Grant McCann provided an update on City's current injury issues last week, admitting that both Stewart and Toral are likely to not return to contention for his squad for at least another month.

“Jon Toral and Kevin Stewart are where they are, they are still probably four or five weeks away in terms of training with us, and then it is going to take them time to get back up to speed again," said McCann in his press conference prior to the defeat to Fulham.

Stewart started in all of City's opening 12 Championship matches of the season, scoring twice during the 3-0 win against Luton Town in September.
