A man arrested and released without charge after a Scottish Liberal Democrat MP said he was assaulted while distributing leaflets.
Councilor Kevin Lang ``threw verbal abuse'' at around 11:10 am on Sunday when he was handing out leaflets in South Queensferry. She said she was "very upset" after confronting the man.
Lang, who heads the Liberal Democrat group at Edinburgh City Council, claimed the man "put his hand to my throat and pushed the flyer down my shirt."
Police later said they had arrested a 65-year-old man in connection with the incident.
