Manchester City will play two games in China against Premier League teams as part of their preparations for the 2019/20 season.

Pep Guardiola and his squad are heading east again this July, having spent the last two summers in the United States, and will play two of Newcastle United, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As part of the Premier League Asia Trophy, the Blues have a semi-final at Nanjing's Olympic Sports Center on July 17 before a third-place playoff or final in Shanghai's Hongkou Stadium on July 20.

“We are delighted to return to China and take part in the Premier League Asia Trophy," said COO Omar Berrada.

"China is a special place for City - it’s where Pep Guardiola began his City tenure in 2016 and we have a huge number of passionate followers across the country. We’re looking forward to hosting exciting events in China and welcoming local fans to our matches.”

City have already announced a game against Yokohama F.Marinos on July 27 in Japan, and could add to their existing summer schedule.
