Manchester United fans are clearly excited at what Aaron Wan-Bissaka can offer to their side in the new season.
The 21-year-old became the club's fifth most expensive signing in their history after joining from Crystal Palace in a £50m transfer.
Solskjaer explained: “Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League.
“He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.
“Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age.
“I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”
United fans got to see Wan-Bissaka in a United shirt for the first time on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Perth Glory 2-0.
The defender played 45 minutes in western Australia and supporters were impressed with one moment in particular - a brilliant well-timed sliding tackle.
One fan posted a video of Wan-Bissaka's highlights from the game, featuring said tackle, and it showed why he is nicknamed ’The Spider’.
“’The Spider’ is about the range and length of my legs when I’m lunging to tackle the ball,” Wan-Bissaka explained after signing for United, “that’s where the nickname comes from.”
Supporters on social media were keen to praise the talented oungster on his United showing.
