Matt Hancock was ‘gutted’ he didn’t beat Jill Scott to I’m A Celeb crown claim fans who spotted ‘clue’

I'm A Celebrity fans are convinced Matt Hancock was 'gutted' that he didn't beat Jill Scott to the jungle crown.

Eagle-eyed viewers claim Matt's facial expressions gave his real feelings away, despite him smiling and hugging Jill and runner-up Owen Warner.

When Ant and Dec came into camp during last night's nailbiting final to reveal who had come third, many believe Matt looked visibly disappointed and was trying to put on a brave face.

They flocked to twitter to share this theory.

One posted: "Matt Hancock visibly gutted he is out. He genuinely thought he was going to win."

A second added: "Matt Hancock looks more gutted that he hasn't won #ImACelebrity than when he had to resign as Health Secretary."

A third agreed, saying: "Matt Hancock is genuinely gutted he didn’t win isn’t he!"

And it was a sentiment echoed by a fourth, who shared: "Matt Hancock looked gutted finding out he failed to win @imacelebrity - what an ego. His "move on" or "start anew” project has hit the buffers. Reality beyond the jungle is a brave new hell."

One thing Matt did look happy about, however, was being reunited with his girlfriend, Gina Coladangelo.

Matt was greeted by Gina on the famous I'm A Celebrity bridge and the pair embraced passionately after weeks apart.

Gina, 45 - whose lockdown-flouting affair with Hancock was exposed by The Sun last year - looked chic in trousers and a top.

The loved-up pair shared a hug and a kiss on the bridge as she rushed to meet the former Health Secretary after flying out to Australia earlier this week to be by Matt's side – but some viewers weren’t impressed by the display.

Taking to social media, one person said: “Matt Hancock and his aid Gina have no shame. I feel very sad for their children.”

Another added: “Matt and Gina are shameless. So gross.”

While a third commented: “Not matt basically recreating the scandal picture with gina at the end of the bridge. Wonder how Matt Hancocks children feel seeing him with Gina!!! Well done #ITVX #ITV for thinking of their mental health!!!”

A fourth person said: “Oh no, this is not on. They have no shame do they.”

While greeting his lover, Matt said to Gina “I love you so much” as they enjoyed their close embrace.

Gina was married to Oliver Tress, who founded fashion firm Oliver Bonas, when she was caught on CCTV in a clinch with then Health Secretary Hancock in his office.

She was his aide at the time, and The Sun's revelations forced Hancock to quit his role.

The pair then left their partners to be together.
