Newcastle Legends Shearer serenaded Gary Lineker while viewers were directed by Amy Winehouse attacked Valerie.
Though the joke fell like a lead balloon with presenter Lineker.
The pun came out while Shearer was analyzing Tottenham's 4-1 victory over Southampton .
The all-time leading goalscorer criticized Jean Valéry for not stopping Son Heung-min's cross that led to Eric Dia's goal.
Shearer emphasized the man of the Saints and said: "Why is he not coming?"
Wright immediately said: "Who?"
And Shearer followed Valerie's tone and replied, "Valerie," in a ghastly tone.
Lineker, who can only answer the joke with, "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!" I likened it.
Shearer himself acknowledged the hit and said, "Sorry he's Gary."
