Old Trafford staff cover their desks with plastic ‘pee sheets’ after urine from damaged men’s loos leaks into offices

OFFICIALS at Manchester United are fighting a leak at the club — from the men’s loos on matchdays.

Bathroom damage at Old Trafford caused by away fans earlier this season has left wee dripping through to offices below.

With toilets and pipes unable to cope, staff are forced to cover their desks and computer kit with plastic sheets.

A source said: “Staff are pretty p***ed off, as you can imagine.

“It’s not a great look — or smell — returning to work to find your equipment drenched in urine.

“Forget the Theatre of Dreams, wee-soaked offices makes it more a Theatre of Nightmares.”

The “pee sheets” were placed over office kit before United’s 2-0 win over Reading in the FA Cup last Saturday.

Insiders say the offices are more in danger during cup games because away fans get a larger ticket allocation and sit in the East Stand above backroom staff quarters.

A spokesman for Manchester United yesterday insisted the protective sheets are now only used as a precaution.
