In the latest shocking example of a horrifying trend called "granny dumping," an abandoned grandmother was found in a cardboard box.
An elderly woman was left without food on the side of a public road.
Social Her network then witnessed public outrage as her female family left her behind with only a few blankets on her.
The women were discoveredby a local neighbor in the Joaquín Colombres neighborhood of Puebla, Mexico.
The woman was found on her December 25th Street. Concerns were heightened when they were seen roaming the outside of the store.
Her frail condition prompted locals to call emergency services for help.
When she was found, she was offered bread and coffee, as she had apparently not eaten for some time.

Unfortunately, this case is not entirely unique. An American man put his dementia-suffering father on a plane from Los Angeles to England, but he too was later abandoned.
