Piers Morgan reunites with Good Morning Britain co-star after quitting ITV

PIERS Morgan has reunited with one of his Good Morning Britain co-stars after sensationally quitting ITV.

The outspoken TalkTV host, 57, famously quit the ITV morning show after an on air bust up over Meghan Markle.

But last night, Piers proved he doesn't have any beef with his former co-workers as he enjoyed a pint with GMB correspondent Jonathan Swain.

The pair are both in Qatar to report on the World Cup.

But taking some time out of their hectic work schedule, they caught up over a much-needed drink.

Taking to Instagram, Jonathan shared a snap of themselves looking happy to see each other.

The reporter wrote next to the snap: "Great to catch up with @piersmorgan in Qatar and enjoy some #Qatar2022 football."

Equally pleased to see his pal Jonathan, Piers replied with: "Great to see you mate. 👍."

At the time ITV released a statement to confirm that he had left the breakfast show.

The statement read: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.

"ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."

The TV host got into a heated arguement about the Duchess of Sussex's claims to have had issues with her mental health.

Piers claimed he was "sickened" by Meghan for "trashing" the Royal Family as "white supremacists" during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

An ITV source said at the time that the controversial host was asked to apologise, but he refused which "ended with him telling producers he would not host the show any more".

They added: "His contract was coming to an end this year anyway, but he said he wouldn’t do the job unless it was on his terms."

A day after he quit Piers tweeted that "freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on".

He also quoted Sir Winston Churchill referencing free speech and signed off by writing: “I’m off to spend more time with my opinions."

Meanwhile, Jonathan Swain is a staple of morning TV thanks to his job on GMB.

He has worked for ITV for over 20 years and was a correspondent on Daybreak and GMTV as well.
