Police hunt gang of raiders who nicked £4,000 worth of Lego by reversing van into warehouse doors

BRICK POCKET

POLICE are hunting ram raiders who nicked £4,000 worth of Lego.

The gang were captured on CCTV reversing a Ford Transit van into warehouse doors.

Three thieves then jumped out and stole a number of top-of-the-range boxes.

They fled just after 2am on Monday. Detectives are building a case after seizing the footage in Hull.

Humberside Police released images of a “distinctive” dark van with a different coloured rear door and an unusual roof rack.

A force spokesman said: “We want to trace this vehicle in connection with the burglary. The registration number isn’t known.”
A source added: “A variety of Lego boxes were stolen.”

They included six £329.99 Technic Bugattis, along with two 6x6 All Terrain Tow Trucks priced at £219.99 each. Three Mack Anthem trucks worth £139.99 each were in the haul.

Thieves also took six £89.99 sets of Hogwarts Great Hall from the firm’s Harry Potter range.

Two boxes of £89.99 Avengers Compound Battle were nabbed.

The trio even made off with three £39.99 Police Mountain Arrest sets. It features a police helicopter, two crook mini figures and a getaway buggy.
