A website that allows you to send boxes of animal poop to your enemies was recently hacked, exposing customer details and messages.
ShitExpress is a prank website that allows people to send boxes of real animal poop with a personal message to "the person who bothers you the most."
A vulnerability on the site gave hackers access to the company's database of customer emails and her addresses and messages customers sent through the platform.
Due to an ongoing feud between a hacker named "Pompompurin" and cybersecurity researcher Vinnie Troia, the hacker went to the site and ordered a box to be sent, only to find that the website was able to access customer data for to Troy.
Later, "Pompompurin" hacked his forum database to leak, exposing angry personal messages sent by customers.
"I saw a cockroach today and thought of you... I stepped on it," he had one message.
"This gift is a token of my appreciation for your efforts and a symbol of how great my team thinks of you. Enjoy!" said another person. said.
The hacker told Bleeping Computer that the data he downloaded was surprisingly small and was not kept for ransom purposes. Instead, he just notified the website owner after dumping the data.
"Honestly, it's not that big... we have about 29,000 orders in the data," he said.
"Four days ago we discovered unusual activity on our server and one of our scripts was found to be vulnerable to SQL injection. This is purely our fault. It's human error that can happen to anyone," a ShitExpress spokesperson told Bleeping Computer.
ShitExpress also clarified that its website does not store customers' personal information.
“When someone pays with cryptocurrency, it is obviously very secure and anonymous. When paying with a credit card, all information remains with the payment processor.
ShitExpress accepts credit card or bitcoin payments, promising complete anonymity to its customers.
