TikTok user Celia Piemontes says in the video that she got Tampax tampons instead of the organic tampons she usually gets due to shortages.

All tampons in the footage had purple applicators, except for the red tampon marked with the letters "SS." Inside was a small, shiny, seemingly metallic object.

"So I just opened it," she says in the video. "What is it? What the hell?"

A number of commenters pointed out that it may have been a quality control item that circulated, which was later revealed to Proctor & Gamble. "My brain instantly said tracker," wrote one commenter.

"Bestie, this is a sign you're sticking organic," she wrote in her section of The Honey Pot &Co comments.

In a second video, Piedmontes said the object was "apparently a piece of metal."

In yet another video, she says her Tampax sent her a direct message on the platform and offered her compensation.

Piedmontes said in another video that she got the tampon from a friend of hers who works for Tampax, but that she didn't buy it at the store, said an insider.reports.

Tampax's parent company, Procter & Gamble, told Fox News, "We are aware of her TikTok videos and have investigated the matter. ' said.

"We would like to confirm that this was an isolated issue," the company added. Control samples are not sold to consumers."

One commenter wrote that the object in the video was "a test object that probably slipped by undetected."

"Factory usually puts in metals or something to make sure machines sort them out," he said.

"Looks like a defect detection tester, right? So they put it in line to see if the quality control system detects that there is a defect," said another commenter.
