Hull KR have managed to raise more than £7,500 in donations after setting up a Just Giving page in support of Mose Masoe and his family.

After being stretchered off the field at the Mobile Rocket Stadium, during Rovers’ pre-season clash with Wakefield Trinity on Sunday, Masoe was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with a serious spinal injury.

He underwent emergency on Sunday night and a statement released yesterday by the club revealed that he has shown signs of improvement.

KR’s Community Trust have set up a Just Giving page after the incident after the RFL Benevolent Fund flew the prop forward’s family in from overseas to be with him.

As of 2:22pm on January 14, there has been 399 donations with a total of £7,698.36 raised for Masoe and his family.

That’s more than three quarters of their £10,000 target and the hope is that donations can take the amount raised above and beyond the initial objective.
