Ryan Giggs recalls jail cell night as 'worst experience of his life', lashes out in court

Ryan Giggs cried in court, saying spending a night in jail was "the worst experience of my life."

The former Manchester United star was taken to Pendleton Police Station in Salford after being arrested on 1 November 2020 for allegedly assaulting his ex-partner He said he was.

Giggs told the court that he "barely" slept that night and spoke to his lawyer for the first time the next day. Friend said, "I completely lost my balance when I slipped my shopping bag." Ms. Grevilletestified that he had put his hand on her shoulder and deliberately headbutted her. Grevillesaid he called the police. He is also accused of assaulting Emma during an altercation.

Defendants deny wrongdoing.
