Scottish couple's wedding saved as venue offers to help after shocking hotel closure

Stirling's hospitality facilities are actively working to help newlyweds stranded due to the closure of Broomhall Castle.

However, after hotel management found the Observer's story online and contacted them, the two were able to secure use of her Colessio at Stirling's Hotel.

Lesley Monaghan, Business and Events Manager at Hotel Colessio, said: for the venue.

"There has been a very positive response and we have been able to sort things out for some people. I know there are couples who are very stressed, so please help."

The two also released social media posts praising the support of the city's Birds and the Bees venues and urging two well-known city hotels to reach out to the Broomhall couple.

Stirling's Golden Lion Hotel wrote: Covid has not been kind to the industry at all.
