SKY SPORTS will debut in-game interviews and cameras inside dressing room for the first time in English football this weekend.
League One sides Wycombe and Portsmouth have both agreed for the entertainment measures to be implemented for their clash on Sunday.
Viewers will be able to watch the managers' pre-match and half-time team-talks in a move which could eventually be adopted by Premier League clubs.
According to The Mail, following on from sports such as rugby and cricket, members of the teams' backroom staff will also be available for mid-game interviews.
The new additions to matchday coverage will also include audio of the players’ on-field conversations that will be aired at half-time and post-match.
They will not be broadcast live, however, due to fear of inappropriate language.
Cameras in dressing rooms is something broadcasters have been keen to add to their coverage for several years.
Until now, clubs have been against the idea, but Wycombe and Portsmouth have finally become the first to accept.
Premier League teams will reportedly monitor the new measures and potentially implement them in the future if they are successful.
But the EFL are in more of a rush to bring extra interest into their coverage.
