Flight operations are being disrupted at Manchester Airport, according to flight tracker website, Flightradar24, as snow continues to fall on the runway. Clearing services are reportedly struggling with the snow, with numerous flights forced to circle "on hold" while others are being diverted. Flights are expected to be cancelled today.

It comes as a yellow weather warning for snow and ice remains in force across Greater Manchester until noon tomorrow.

According to the Met Office, temperatures are expected to remain around freezing for most the day, hovering around 2 degrees celsius.
