West Lothian boxer Reese Lynch wins gold from Commonwealth Games, promises 'more'

West Lothian Provost Kathy Muldoon paid tribute to the athletes and coaches and said everyone at West Lothian was "extremely proud" of their achievements.

She commented:

"It was a great achievement to be at the Commonwealth Games and I am sure the wonderful memories will live on forever.

"Everyone in West Lothian I know we're very proud of what we've accomplished: Reese Lynch of Foldhouse winning some tough bouts to win a gold medal in boxing, Shannon of Uphaul. Archer becomes the first Scottish female athlete to win a bronze medal in gymnastics."
