What channel is Cameroon vs Brazil? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Brazil need just a point against Cameroon to advance to the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup as Group G winners when the two sides lock horns on Friday.

The Selecao have already booked their place in the next round following back-to-back victories over European duo Serbia and Switzerland, in which they recorded 2-0 and 1-0 wins. However, top spot isn’t secured just yet, although a point against Cameroon will do just that.

But the Indomitable Lions are chasing a place in the last 16 themselves, although they need an unlikely three points in order to stand any chance of doing so. After losing 1-0 to Switzerland, they then came from behind to draw 3-3 with Serbia.

When is Cameroon vs Brazil?

Cameroon vs Brazil will kick-off at 7pm (GMT) on Friday, December 2 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Lusail, Qatar.

This will be the seventh meeting between the two sides and their third in World Cup competition, following previous clashes in 1994 and 2014 in which Brazil reigned victorious on both occasions.

However, the last meeting came back in November 2018, where Brazil ran out 1-0 winners in an international friendly at Stadium MK thanks to Richarlison’s goal on the stroke of half time.

Team news

Only a win will do for Cameroon if they are to have any chance of making the last 16 and Rigobert Song will have to name his strongest side as a result, while hoping that it could be enough to beat a Brazil side who are expected to make a number of changes.

The Indomitable Lions will remain without first choice goalkeeper Andre Onana as a result of an internal disciplinary matter, meaning Devis Epassy will continue to deputise between the sticks. Pierre Kunde will hope to keep his place ahead of Samuel Oum Gouet in midfield, while captain Vincent Aboubakar will be pushing for a start after his goal against Serbia.

As for Brazil, it is unlikely that they will be knocked off top spot by Switzerland due to their superior goal difference, but Tite will name a strong side nonetheless. However, with the last 16 coming up, he is also expected to make a number of changes to keep things fresh.

Eder Militao should continue to deputise for Danilo (ankle), although Fred will face competition from Bruno Guimaraes after coming in for Neymar (ankle) against Switzerland. Alex Telles could replace Alex Sandro at left back, while Antony, Rodrygo and Gabriel Jesus will hope to take over from Raphinha, Richarlison and Vincius Jr in attack.
