Bel Air, who began her college career at the University of South Carolina, said: She secretly had an eating disorder in high school, so when she entered college, she told herself, "I'm not doing this anymore." I'm going to get healthy."

She added: "I was put in a mental hospital.
``He [Anderson] was the one who said, 'You can't come back,' when I left the house. I went to see a doctor, and he said, 'I have to calm down, because that's more important.'
Bellair then moved to the University of Tennessee, where for a year she was not allowed to compete.
She said: ``I wasn't allowed to compete for the team.
