Accra Hearts Of Oak And Asante Kotoko To Earn $25,000 Per Year From GPL Sponsorship

Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak could earn $25,000 per season from the new sponsorship package. Reports note that clubs will be given equal amount in terms of sharing the financial package.

Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko were reported to have petitioned the Ghana Football Association over the modalities for sharing the sponsorship deal. The two most glamorous clubs indicated that, they deserve a lion’s share of the sponsorship package.

It is yet to be revealed if the Ghana Football Association did not agree to the proposal brought forward by the two clubs. Some club officials are of the view that, the money should be shared equally without any other considerations.

Ghana Football Association and betting firm betpawa have signed a three year deal worth six million dollars, which makes betpawa the headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League. The deal is worth two million dollars a year.

Clubs and players are expected to benefit from winning bonus package from the headline sponsor, betpawa. Winning clubs will be receiving instant bonus from betpawa.

Betpawa – as part of the deal – will construct a pitch for the Ghana Football Association at Prampram. Club administrators have welcomed the deal as they could be cushioned financially.
