Aduana FC extends lead as Bechem United put 6 goals past RTU in betPawa Premier League

Leaders Aduana FC extended their lead at the top of the stairs as they won 1-0 away at Dreams FC with Bechem United thumping RTU 6-2 to move to second position in the betPawa Premier League on Wednesday.

Elsewhere in the Matchday 15 games played today, Accra Hearts of Oak drew 0-0 with Legon Cities; Kotoku Royals won 3-2 at home to Bibiani Gold Stars with King Faisal Babes losing 2-3 at home to Medeama SC.

Nsoatreman posted a 2-1 home win against Berekum Chelsea with FC Samartex playing out a 0-0 draw against Tamale City FC at home.

A first half strike by Stephen Anorkye Badu, was enough to hand Aduana FC all three points at the Theater of Dreams, Dawu as they inflicted a second straight defeat to Dreams FC.

The Fire Lads extends their lead at the top of the table to two points ahead of Bechem United who had Hafiz Konkoni scoring a hat trick in their home win over RTU at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem.

Third placed Accra Hearts of Oak huffed and puffed for 90 minutes, but could not breakdown a stubborn Legon Cities side who played with 10 men for majority of the second half at the Accra Sports Stadium as the points were shared.

The 10 game unbeaten run by Gold Stars was ended at the Cape Coast Stadium as they went down to bottom side Kotoku Royals.

There important wins for Nsoatreman FC and Medeama SC as they sought to bring their ailing campaigns back on track.

The league will continue on Thursday with two matches at Anyinase and Accra with reigning champions Asante Kotoko away to Karela United while Accra Lions plays Accra Great Olympics in a capital derby.
