Eject From Your Community Any Pastor Who Speaks Against Our Customs & Traditions – Nana Kodwo

Paramount Chief for the Elmina Traditional Council, Nana Kodwo Conduah VI has expressively advised chiefs within the country to sack any pastor who speaks against their customs and tradition from their communities without thinking twice.

He highlighted to Chiefs that, any Man-of-God who comes to their respective communities to portray such behavior should have the land on which his church strives retrieve from him the same way it was handed over to him.

The Paramount Chief said all this on Saturday September 24 at Nsadwer, a small community situated in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem (KEEA) constituency in the Central Region while they were celebrating the first time Nyeyi Festival dubbed “Infrastructure Development For The Community.”

The community which over the weekend experienced its festival, celebrated in a grand style with a durbar for the first time since the community’s inception over 200years now, following factors no one can phantom which has consequently contributed bitterly to the area’s stall development talk of its roads, schools, hospitality facilities and its medical facilities.

The festival meanwhile had dignified personas like the KEEA Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, the constituency’s Police Commander, Chief Supt. Abraham Bansah, Nana Kodwo Conduah VI, Queens, Elders and Sub-Chiefs from far and near all trooping to the village’s community centre to grace their occasion, as Nana Kojo Koh lll, Chief of Nsadwer sat on his traditonally curved chair to welcome all this personalities.

However, Nana Kodwo Conduah while addressing the masses noted, “Sack any pastor who speaks against your customs and tradition from your community. And as no one issued out the land on which his church situates but you, collect that as well and let him leave,” he remarked vociferously to Rainbow Radio reporter Eric Annan.

Assemblyman for the community, Hon. Cosmos Kweku Bassau equally made his voice heard, who on the needs of Nsadwer specifically emphasized on their deplorable metalic bridge which connects the farming community to town, which over the years has graduated to pose a death trap to both indigenes of the community and visitors, pleaded to government to come to their aid having had all efforts towards this same bridge turned futile.
