EVE 0 – 0 ARS- Worst Arsenal Players That Should Be Blamed For Not Scoring In First Half.

Arsenal travelled to the Merseyside to face Everton where Mikel Arteta started the match with his starting 11 that he has used in his last successive league match which are, Aaron Ramsdale, Zinchenko, Ben White, Gabriel Magalahaes, William Saliba, Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Eddie Nkethia.

However, the team played badly in the first half and that affected the way they fared in front of Everton’s post and a few players could be blamed for that. Below are those players.

1.

Gabriel Martinelli was busy running up and down the pitch, giving away the ball to the opposition, shooting off targets and at same time, missed great chances. He also did not connect well with other attackers and with his midfielders. Martinelli should understand that football is not all about running and sense is of paramount importance in a game like this which a win is mostly needed.

2.

Bukayo Saka has been brilliant this season but in this match, he was wasteful in the first half and did not play up to the expectations that the fans and the game itself requires of him. He failed to pass the ball many times when he ought to and shot the ball at post when he ought to.

3.

Thomas Partey was a weak link in the midfield and that was why Arsenal lost the midfield battle easily and quickly. Him and Xhaka gave Everton defenders too much space and that affected how the attackers fared.
