Ghana’s featherweight champion Joseph Commey was declared medically unfit by white doctors who examined him few hours to his featherweight finals. This happened after he managed to beat all the White and black boxers who came his way in the ongoing commonwealth games in London.

After great display of talent in the ring, Joseph Commey was set to fight Jude Gallagher from Ireland to battle it out for the Commonwealth world final record.

Ghanaians have been reacting angrily at this news. While some of them suspect racism which is against sports, there were those who felt that authorities should stick their neck further because something could be smelling fishy.

This is because, some athletes from Ghana were disqualified on technical grounds after sailing through to the final leg. We haven’t finished crying over that only to be told that our final game fighter in boxing has been declared medically unfit.
