GNPC’s Fastest Under 15 champion, Mabel Aidoo takes trophy to New Ebu chief’s palace

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Ghana Fastest Human Under 15 Female champion, Mabel Aidoo on Monday, September 26, 2022, made a triumphant return to her home, New Ebu in the Abura Asebu Kwaman Municipality in the Central Region.

She was first received by her school, New Ebu Methodist School, led by the head teacher.

They embarked on a joyful procession through the principal streets of Abakrampa and New Ebu before heading to the New Ebu Chief’s Palace.

The Chief and elders welcomed and congratulated Mabel and the team on the traditions and customs of the people.

She received special prayers of protection, favour, and success from the palace.

Nana Andzie Mensah Nyiaa VIII was thankful to the parents, family, school teachers and the coaching team for the various roles played towards this accomplishment.

He advised all present, particularly the school children to “strive for success, be submissive and work hard. He was indeed happy for such a talent coming from his community.”

From the durbar, at the Chief’s Palace, Mabel Aidoo was received at a special gathering in her honour at the New Ebu Methodist Church.

Very Reverend Ohene Kwasi Folson and various Clergy of the local Christian Council of Churches graced the occasion.

She received special prayers of preservation, location, and strength.

Also present at the gathering was the headmaster of New Ebu Methodist Basic School, Mr. Jacob Tawiah, and the Assemblyman of New Ebu, Ernest Lawrence Anderson.
