Parents to Start Paying Fees for JSS Students as School Reopen

As schools reopen for first term, parents with learners in grade seven as pioneers in the junior secondary will embrace new and tough times as they are now required to pay school fees. Similar to secondary schools the learders in the junior secondary schools will be required to engage much into practical learning making it an expensive venture for the government to fully cater for all the operating costs.

The learners will also be required to buy new and different school uniform as the learners bridge the gap to the new phase and level of study according to the new curriculum and sytsem.

Parents who questined the move were left unaswered as nation media journalists were not accorded a platform for answers from the education minister Ezekiel Machogu. Parents who are already pressed by the tough economic times and the transition of over 1 million learners to secondary schools should prepare for tough times as the move is set to start when the learners will open in 30th January.

Learners in various levels of study will reopen on Monday 23rd January 2023 as earlier indicated.
